What I Did
I worked within a branch of the engineering and product team, primarily in product support. I handled customer support tickets and worked closely with users to troubleshoot issues and understand how they were building with Voiceflow. This role gave me hands on exposure to the product, its features, and common user pain points.
Beyond support, I assisted with product testing and internal tools. My biggest project was redesigning the internal admin panel to make it more user friendly and efficient for internal teams. This involved improving layouts, clarifying workflows, and optimizing usability for daily internal use.
What I Learned
Through product support, I developed a strong understanding of APIs, prompt engineering, and how conversational AI systems behave in real world scenarios. I learned how users interact with complex tools and how small design decisions can significantly impact usability.
On the technical side, I learned how to code using Cursor, gained experience working with GitHub, and became familiar with the product development lifecycle from ideation to deployment.
How It Inspired Me
Working at Voiceflow showed me the importance of building products that are both powerful and approachable. Seeing how engineering, product, and support teams collaborate inspired me to pursue roles that sit at the intersection of design and technology. The experience reinforced my interest in user centred product design and motivated me to continue developing technical skills that allow me to better communicate and collaborate with engineers.
